Stephen Legault and Jenn Hoffman are the principals of Highwatermark Strategy and Communications.
Jenn has more than twenty-five years of experience in education, curriculum design and evaluation, communications, fund development and non-profit leadership. Jenn is a skilled facilitator, and team leader. She has guided teams at the Sierra Club BC, the Yellowstone to Yukon Conservation Initiative (Y2Y), and has worked as a guide for the Student Conservation Association. She holds a Bachelors degree from the University of Victoria in Geography and a Masters in Education.
Jenn is currently undertaking a Masters degree in Disaster and Emergency Response Management at Royal Roads University which focuses on how disaster and emergency management processes and practices can and should contribute to risk reduction, community resilience, and sustainable communities.
Jenn is particularly interested in helping communities, agencies, and governments plan for, adapt to, and mitigate the effects of climate change to alleviate disaster impacts and to build stronger, more resilient communities. Learn more about Jenn here.
Stephen has been active in the conservation movement in North America since 1988. He was the founder of Wildcanada.net, Canada’s first online advocacy portal, and served most recently as Program Director for Y2Y. He has served as the Senior Development Officer (Sustainability) at Royal Roads University. His conservation achievements include the protection of more than 1,000,000 hectares of wildland across Canada and the United States.
Stephen is an experienced political analyst and campaign volunteer, having worked on elections for nearly a dozen provincial and federal candidates.
He is a facilitator, public speaker, and experienced government relations, public engagement, grassroots organizing and strategy development and implementation specialist.
